Position Summary

Processes purchase orders for the finance team and other MDVIP departments. Purchases wellness equipment for transitioning doctors, and expedites orders, as needed. Processes invoices for doctor’s wellness equipment and finance department orders. Trains new users on the procurement system. Assists with negotiating better pricing and terms for purchased products. Reviews contracts and purchase agreements to ensure MDVIP’s interests are fairly represented.

3. Researches and resolves product/service discrepancies judiciously
4. Wellness equipment orders are processed and paid in a timely manner

Key Competencies

Essential Duties and Responsibilities / % of time
1. Orders and expedites wellness equipment for physicians. Answers physician questions regarding wellness equipment and resolve problems. Processes invoices for wellness equipment and Finance department orders when applicable. /30%
2. Reviews all Requisitions and purchase orders for accuracy and contract compliance. Supports departments with ongoing training. /30%
3. Assists with onboarding new Practice Management offices by reviewing existing contracts, transferring ownership and/or cancelling as appropriate. Supports practices contracting with new vendors. /10%
4. Reviews contract terms and conditions for assigned projects based on financial scope. Meets with vendors and other departments regarding purchasing projects. /10%
5. Reviews and updates pricing sheets for Practice Management’s medical supplies and sources vaccines. and maintains drug formulary. /5%
6. Obtains W9s and sets up vendors in financial system. /5%
7. Trains new users on Procurement system. /5%
8. Annually reviews flu vaccine pricing for all affiliates by comparing multiple vendors and GPOs. /5%

Education / Experience / Knowledge:


Associate degree in business or a related field and at least two year’s related purchasing experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of schooling equals two years of related experience.


• Must have a similar scope and experience in a comparable or greater size/volume company
• Must have demonstrated negotiating skills
• Knowledge of RFP process and understanding of how bid processes are utilized.
• Knowledge of GPO is a plus.
• Project management skills especially in new supplier negotiation and qualifications is highly desirable.


Computer Proficiency:


Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Able to learn new software easily.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across appropriate US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate's work experience.
