Position Summary

MDVIP is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance team in Boca Raton, FL. This role is responsible for handling the organization's membership payments, including incoming and outgoing mail and cash deposits. The ideal candidate brings strong data entry, communication, time management, and organization skills, along with proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Processes checks and lockbox deposits received and creates daily deposit.
  • Reviews all member invoicing and billing notices.
  • Ensures invoicing, credits and payments are applied to customers in a timely manner to encourage prompt payment and allow for accurate internal reporting.
  • Processes payment rejections such as returned checks and credit card chargebacks.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, along with strong data entry abilities. 
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with members and internal departments. 
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in handling financial transactions and data. 
  • Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain organized records. 
  • Initiative: Proactively identifies process improvements and seeks opportunities to take on new responsibilities.
  • Personal Accountability: Takes responsibility for own actions; Sets and meets reasonable deadlines; Reports timely and prepared for the day.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required, and 2 year’s Accounts Receivable experience.
  • Strong organization and time management skills, focused on producing high quality, detailed work in a consistent manner.  
  • Must excel working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Multi-tasks and work under specific time constraints.
  • Accurate use of 10-key machine.
  • Effectively operates computer programs and maintains extensive knowledge of appropriate computerized systems necessary for data entry and retrieval.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with Sage/MAS.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skill set.
