Position Summary

MDVIP is seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Analyst to join our team in Boca Raton, FL. In this role, you will be managing and analyzing data elements from raw sources and transforming those elements into high value, high quality information for data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate is proficient using analytic tools (Excel, SQL) that contribute to data assessment, data quality and accuracy, data cleansing and conversion, auditing, compliance, data migration and preparation into a SQL database and salesforce.com, but also ensures all actions taken are compliant with HIPAA requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtains, scrubs, compiles, and interprets data using SQL and other data mining tools to transform unstructured and semi-structured data into a target structure for analysis.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets in Excel and/or SQL to check for data gaps or issues. Issues could include, but are not limited to missing data, duplicate data, incorrect, or irrelevant data.
  • Monitors and analyzes original source datasets and data changes within databases to ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability
  • Provides on-going communication with organizational teams and their leadership to help understand data gaps, relationships, and updates as needed for accurate data assessments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, or in a quantitative, technical field (Math, Engineering, Science, etc.); or equivalent combination of education and experience where two years related experience equals one year of schooling.
  • 2-3 years of related experience
  • Strong Microsoft Windows experience accompanied by advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel is required.
  • Sufficient technical skills to monitor and challenge the deliverables. May be required to perform hands-on-programming occasionally.
  • Must have a working knowledge of SQL.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Python is a plus.
  • Demonstrates clear and concise communication skills, strong business judgment, combined with solid analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Fast learner, adaptable to work in a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task / managing multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Good technical writing is also required.

 

Computer Proficiency:

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and Practice Management Software (PMS) is a plus.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience in similar roles to this one (e.g., Business Analyst, Data Mining).
  • Strong technical background in command line navigation and tasks in both Windows and UNIX based operating systems
  • Proactive, curious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across appropriate US geographic markets.
