Position Summary

The Associate Director, Practice Sales and Acquisitions, oversees the end-to-end succession process for physician practices, ensuring timely execution, alignment across departments, and the successful completion of practice sale transactions. Reporting to the Executive Director, Practice Sales and Acquisitions, this role plays a key part in establishing the succession strategy to maximize patient retention and collaborates closely with retiring physicians to ensure a smooth and successful transition of practice ownership and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director of Practice Sales and Acquisitions to develop comprehensive business, financial, and project plans for affiliate physician retirement.
  • Initiate and facilitates practice sale transactions, acting as a liaison between retiring affiliate physicians and prospective buyers to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Drive the execution of succession agreements by negotiating physician contracts, presenting legal documentation, practice sale disclosures, and key business intelligence to stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on prospective practices, including financial performance, existing contractual obligations, operational risks, and liabilities; prepares and presents detailed analyses and strategic recommendations to key decision-makers.

  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a liaison across sales, recruitment, and internal departments to align succession strategies and ensure project milestones and deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster trust and credibility across all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute business plans that support growth, retention, and long-term organizational goals.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Six (6) years of experience in healthcare account management, practice brokerage, physician recruitment, healthcare business development or similar.
  • Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects with a strong track record of meeting deadlines and driving results.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience analyzing practice financials, contracts, and operational data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with healthcare practice structures, legal considerations in practice sales, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working directly with physicians, particularly in succession planning, practice transitions, or physician contracting

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across appropriate US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate's work experience.
