Position Summary

MDVIP is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Business Intelligence Developer I to join our Business Intelligence and Analytics team in Boca Raton, FL. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting reports, dashboards, and data models that drive decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background in SQL and Power BI, a passion for data analysis, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements and user stories to design BI solutions.
Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and data models using Power BI and other reporting tools.
Perform ETL development to support reporting environments, integrating data from multiple sources.
Maintain and troubleshoot reporting systems, ensuring timely resolution of data quality or performance issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DBAs, system analysts, and engineers, to support analytics infrastructure.
Conduct ad hoc analyses and provide data-driven recommendations to business partners.
Manage report environments including security, data sources, subscriptions, and metadata documentation.
Act as an administrator and subject matter expert (SME) in supporting Power BI tools and practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, or a related technical field.
• Three (3) years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering.
Proficiency with SQL and relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server/Databricks preferred).
Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
Strong understanding of the Microsoft stack: Azure, SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS.
Demonstrated experience with ETL development and BI report lifecycle.
Ability to analyze and interpret large datasets and clearly present findings.
Experience resolving data quality and integrity issues.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a healthcare or regulated industry.
Familiarity with GitHub workflows (fork, pull request, merge).
Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across appropriate US geographic markets.
