Position Summary

The Data Steward Analyst is responsible for the integrity and management of the organization’s physician lead data documented within Salesforce. The ideal candidate will provide thought leadership and data stewardship, demonstrating a strong data governance understanding to ensure sound decisions are made regarding prospect data. These data elements are a critical link to providing data interchange to inside and outside field sales with the goal of ensuring compliance with data vendors, physician leads are properly targeted, contact information is managed and sales territory and record ownership is accurate and up to date.

 

You will serve as the liaison between IT and the Physician Development department, while collaborating with Business Analysts, Technical Architects, and Salesforce Developers. This role reports to the Executive Director, Sales Enablement and involves understanding business needs, translating them into functional requirements, and ensuring that solutions are implemented effectively within the Salesforce platform, with a focus on data reporting and analysis. Your success will be measured based on quality metrics, data governance and compliance, issue resolution, as well as user satisfaction and documented training tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute vendor data refresh projects to improve data integrity.
  • Follow prescribed data quality methodologies to execute data quality improvement projects.
  • Oversee monthly data governance audits.
  • Responsible for ETL (Extracting, Transforming, and Loading data) into Salesforce.
  • Manage documentation of master data policies and procedures to ensure ongoing data compliance.
  • Maintain accurate territory assignments and re-assignments for field team using mapping tools.
  • Provide ongoing report analysis and observe any trends or issues to raise with management.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence (BI) team and developers to understand business requirements, data definitions, report logic and provide user acceptance testing for Power BI Dashboards and Business Enhancement Requests
  • Assist in preparing Salesforce training documentation for business users.

Key Competencies

  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data lifecycle, and best practices for maintaining data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance.
  • Project management skills to guide both point-in-time and ongoing data quality improvement projects.
  • Proven track record of cross functional collaboration to resolve data issues and enforce data standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues, ensuring accuracy and consistency across datasets and reports.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • Four (4) years of relevant work experience in data management, data governance and ETL.
  • Proven experience using Advanced Excel functions, SQL, Access, or other specialized data quality tools.
  • Proven experience leading data cleansing projects.
  • Experience with CRM tools.
  • Experience collaborating with cross functional teams to problem solve.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience in data management, data governance and ETL.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Experience working with BI teams on user acceptance testing.
