Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Lead Engineer to own the technical strategy and delivery across our billing, pricing, payments, and related tech operations stack. This is a high-accountability role supporting a $1B+ recurring revenue model where platform integrity, stability, and continuous improvement are non-negotiable. The ideal candidate will have the skills and mindset to work across legacy and modern systems, enabling our infrastructure to be resilient, scalable, and auditable.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own design and development of mission-critical systems including billing automation, pricing transitions, convenience fee logic, and physician payout reconciliation.
  • Modernize fragile components, including .NET DLLs, legacy SQL jobs, and JitterBit ETL flows, driving toward a DevOps-first posture with CI/CD, environment management, and source control.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, compliance, and Salesforce teams to ensure seamless billing and payout operations.
  • Lead technical resolution of production incidents, post-mortems, and preventative redesigns for high-severity payment events.
  • Mentor engineers and instill high standards for design, review, and deployment

Qualifications

 

Qualifications

  • Bacherlor's Degree
  • 7-10 years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend systems in recurring revenue
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, VB/.NET, Azure services, JitterBit or Azure Data
  • Familiarity with payment processors and recurring revenue systems (e.g., tokenization, NPT/EMAT, credit card processing).
  • Systems thinking and a drive for accountability, quality, and proactive risk
