Role Summary

As a Jr. Data Stewar, you will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of organizational data by performing data entry, cleansing, validation, and profiling. You will collaborate with teams to enforce data standards, maintain documentation, and implement best practices, while developing metrics and monitoring compliance to support accurate reporting and decision-making.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Data Quality Management 

  1. Monitors Salesforce data entries made by sales department to ensure adherence to data quality standards.
  2. Identifies gaps in regional sales data management and works with staff to address.
  3. Provides support to both inside and field sales teams by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  4. Performs manual verification of reported data issues on a weekly basis.
  5. Determines root cause for data quality errors and makes recommendations for long-term solutions, focused on automation, where applicable.
  6. Corrects identified data errors, updates outdated information and makes necessary adjustments to ensure data aligns with business requirements.
  7. Identifies, merges, and eliminates duplicate records in Salesforce database.

 

Report Management 

  1. Responsible for the cataloging, updating, and accuracy of all department reports.
  2. Partners with Data Steward to provide summary results of data quality analysis to make recommendations regarding measuring business rules and data quality.
  3. Data manipulation and preparation for the Data Steward mass process.

 

Data Optimization and Training

  1. Facilitates optimal workflows and opportunities to improve performance and efficiency of systems.
  2. Partner with Data Steward to ensure data optimization, enhances and documents Salesforce process and procedures and develops training courses and library to execute consistent application of procedures.

Education / Experience / Knowledge

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, preferably in the study of Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent studies and a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience where two years related experience equals one year of schooling. Related experience assumes a similar role at a comparably sized organization.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Good understanding of Salesforce.com Lightning.
  • Proven expertise in data management, data quality, data governance, and policy implementation, with a demonstrated history of successfully leading data cleansing projects.
  • Ability to meticulously examine large datasets and identify even minor inconsistencies or errors. 
  • Clear and concise communication skills, strong business acumen combined with solid analytical/problem solving skills.
  • Self-starter, fast learner, adaptable to work in a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
  • Sufficient technical skills to monitor and challenge the deliverables of IT teams.
  • Project management skills, to guide both point-in-time and ongoing data quality improvement projects.
  • Has a generalized understanding of database reporting.
  • Ability to extract meaning and recommend action using data, as opposed to only reporting metrics.
  • The role calls for teamwork and collaboration within all levels of management and staff, a high regard for ethics, and strong organizational awareness.

 

 

Computer Proficiency:

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.  Able to learn new software easily.
