The specialist will manage project timelines, facilitate clear communication, and provide hands-on support to physicians and staff during the onboarding process.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Practice Setup and Coordination:

  1. Serve as the primary point of contact for physicians and their teams during the practice setup process.
  2. Manage project timelines, ensuring all necessary steps are completed efficiently.
  3. Coordinate with internal teams to align key setup tasks.
  4. Assist in the procurement of office equipment, medical supplies, and technology infrastructure.
  5. Coordinate credentialing and payer enrollment processes with internal stakeholders.

 

Training and Support:

  1. Educate physicians and staff on operational workflows, systems, and best practices for a successful launch.
  2. Provide ongoing guidance and coordination on compliance, billing setup, and practice management essentials with internal teams.
  3. Address questions and challenges during the onboarding period to ensure a smooth transition.

 

Process Improvement and Compliance:

  1. Identify potential roadblocks in the onboarding process and proactively address them.
  2. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, pay guidelines, and internal policies.
  3. Provide feedback to improve onboarding processes based on current best practices and ongoing developments.

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Knowledge:

Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience where two years related experience equals one year of schooling.   

  • 2+ years of experience in medical practice operations, practice management, or healthcare administration.
  • Experience with physician onboarding, revenue cycle management, or practice setup.
  • Familiarity with medical practice technology, EHR systems - athena, and billing workflows.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with physicians and staff.
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and adapt to changing needs.

 

Computer Proficiency:

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.  Able to learn new software easily.
