MDVIP, based in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a Senior Accountant, Employed Practices who will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare and present financial reports related to the subsidiary company.  This role reports to the Assistant Controller and supports the Finance team.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts and to document business transactions. 
  • Prepares monthly financial statements for each practice and presents to all stakeholders. Reviews financial statements with practice physicians when needed. 
  • Prepares and maintains bank reconciliations, records bank transactions and reconciles outstanding check lists. Manages cash balance for each practice. 
  • Maintains balance sheet reconciliations. 
  • Reviews and approves purchase orders. 
  • Prepares monthly intercompany journal entries. 
  • Allocates shared costs amongst relevant practices. 
  • Researches and responds to physician or staff inquiries. 
  • Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports. 
  • Analyzes and prepares budget variance explanations. 
  • Provides supporting schedules as a part of the annual financial statement audit.

Education / Experience / Knowledge:

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in accounting and four years related accounting experience required.  Related experience assumes a similar corporate role focused on general accounting principles, reconciliation skills, financial statement preparation and presentation, and other related activities.

  • Demonstrates excellent attention to details and organization skills to produce accurate and timely output.
  • Ability to work independently, establish priorities and manage objectives with little supervision.
  • Strong time management and analytical skills.
  • Communicates effectively at all levels and with physicians as required.

Highly desired experience: Specific experience in a medical practice environment or other healthcare related industry.

Corporate office role: As a corporate based role in Boca Raton, FL, employees are expected to work from the corporate office. A hybrid model is possible; with two days of remote, and three days in office after a ninety-day period.
